Important Announcements International Spouse/Partner Reception Do you have a spouse or partner who would like to meet other international spouses/ partners and learn about resources at Tulane and in the community?  OISS will host an International Spouse/ Partner Reception on November 6 at 10:30 a.m.  Please share this survey with any international spouses/ partners you know so that we can be sure that everyone is informed of this event. è International Spouse/ Partner Interest Survey è The OISS Office will be closed on Friday 10/31 at 2PM in accordance with the University’s early Halloween/Football Game closure. è Christmas International House (CIH) is a nation-wide ecumenical-based organization providing friendship and hospitality to international students during two weeks of the Christmas holidays. All Saints Day cemetery sprucing is a local tradition as is celebration of Halloween. Dia de Los Muertos, the most important holiday of the year for Mexicans, conjures the psyche of the nation through plays, music and sweets depicting the dead. Costume and dance also figure prominently during this holiday in both cultures. For more details about this event, please follow the link  (CLICK HERE) 11/5/14 United Against Ebola – Red, White and Blue Benefit: 7PM-9PM.  Wear red, white & blue to support our Liberian friend Abel Cheayan in his nonprofit's grassroots efforts to prevent the spread of Ebola. TULANE HOME FOOTBALL GAME Friday, Oct. 31 @ 7 p.m. vs. Cincinnati, Yulman Stadium (Halloween Night) -     It’s the Ghoulman Stadium Spooktacular! Come visit the Academy Sports Kids Zone, with inflatables, face painters, trick-or-treating and more! -     Tailgating will start on the LBC & Newcomb Quads at 3 p.m. -     Dress in costume for the costume contest! I really enjoy seafood jambalaya!” What is your favorite thing about Tulane? “I love that after all of these years I have met so many people that I know who to go to to get things done. How long have you worked at Tulane? “32 years.” In your time here, have you found any restaurants that you love? “Nirvana on Magazine. The food is so spicy. Also, Lebanon’s on Carrolton. I could eat there every day.” How has working with students and scholars from all over the world influenced your life? “The joy in my work is the interaction. I learn new things every day.
