English for Academic and Professional Purposes: Conversation Partner Program
This program pairs a native English-speaking student with an international student to work on their conversational English. This program will also help native English-speakers practice the native language of the international student. Through partnerships with Tulane International Society, we also hold events that allow you to meet and socialize with other participants.

Hailing from across the United States, the artists in this exhibition explore new ways of abstraction based on experimental, process-oriented methods. Intended to defamiliarize common imagery, their practices preclude figurative recognition or easy comprehension. Diversity Convocation: Rais Bhuiyan 
Come hear Rais Bhuiyan, an American Muslim from Bangladesh who served as an air force pilot, speak about his experience. Ten days after 9/11, Rais was the victim of a horrific hate crime. Shot in the face at point blank range by a white supremacist, Mark Stroman, self-described "the Arab slayer", Rais barely survived. Stroman was sentenced to death and ten years later, Rais led an international campaign, fighting to save Stroman's life. DACA Renewal Workshop

Come over to the NCI House (7025 Freret St.) on September 11th anytime between 12:30-1:30 PM to have lunch and meet fellow students and NCI staff. Here are the other dates: 9/18, 10/2, 10/16, 10/30, 11/13, 11/27, and 12/4. You are also welcome to study at the NCI House. Food will be supplied until it runs out. Come to an NCI Information Session on September 5th at noon or September 14th at 4 PM to learn more about the NCI summer internship grant, research grants, PLEN and Feminist Camp grants, and the NCI Women to Women Mentoring Program (applications are open until September 26).
