Announcing the Global Cafe Downtown
Once a month on Tuesday's between 3:30 - and 5:00 PM we will be having a Global Cafe accessible to our Downtown Students. Given that it is Halloween this Tuesday please feel free to come in costume! Fall semester dates: October 31, November 14 and December 5. Sponsored by the OISS and the SPHTM. English for Academic and Professional Purposes: Conversation Partner Program
This program pairs a native English-speaking student with an international student to work on their conversational English. This program will also help native English-speakers practice the native language of the international student. Through partnerships with Tulane International Society, we also hold events that allow you to meet and socialize with other participants.

International Student Conversation Hour with the BCM
If you're an international student wanting to practice your English and/or learn about American culture or an American student who wants to help international students learn English and American culture, then this event is for you! This will take place after the weekly Family Dinner at 6:30. Provided by the BCM Christian Community. 2017 Healthy Campus Summit
Health is a key component to academic success. As part of our ongoing efforts to create a healthier Tulane, Campus Health is sponsoring the Healthy Campus Summit. Featuring a keynote on the intersection of health and academic success and breakout sessions on a variety of topics, the primary purpose of the summit is to increase the dialogue around health and how our campus community can continue to support and build a healthier Tulane. 
Refugee Speakers Series
This is the capstone event in the three-part Refugee Speakers Series featuring Dr. Pearlman. She is a Political Scientist at Northwestern University who recently published a book based on her interviews with hundreds of Syrian Refugees. Glam Jam Variety Show With Ms. Paul Tulane
EVERYONE is welcome to celebrate Pride Month with a new showcase like something you've never seen before! From dancing to drag, from vocalists to ventriloquists, anything could happen. There will be free food as well! If you are interested in more activities pertaining to Pride Month contact The 'O' for more information. 
Hurricane Irma Relief
Collection boxes are located at Weatherhead, Willow, Wall, Greenbaum, and Sharp dorms as well as outside of the LBC Barnes and Nobles, Reily Center, Center for Public Service and Newcomb College Institute (house on Freret). The Hurricane Irma Relief Supply Drive will also be tabling both on McAlister and within the LBC throughout the month of October. 
HAPPENING IN NEW ORLEANSSt. Basil International Food Festival!
This festival will showcase the multi-ethnic parish with dishes from the Mediterranean, Russia, Serbia, Eastern Europe, Ethiopia, and Louisiana, including many vegetarian options! There will also be live Middle Eastern and south Louisiana music! For more information, click here.

Join us at the beautiful Irish Cultural Museum of New Orleans every Friday night at 6pm for our Weekend Movie Nights! Every Friday we put on a different Irish or Celtic themed film ranging from documentaries to comedies.
