OISS Walk-in Hours Now Available
The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) will be offering walk-in hours starting tomorrow, Thursday, March 15th. No prior appointment will be needed and individuals will be able to meet with an advisor on a first-come, first-served basis. The schedule for walk-in hours will be as follows:

The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS), together with the International Student Advisory Board (ISAB) and the Undocumented Student Support Committee (USSC), is proud to have launched the International/Undocumented Student Emergency Fund Campaign. The purpose of this campaign is to support students with severe financial hardships in order to ensure that they are able to remain at Tulane and graduate. Join the Office of International Students & Scholars and Office of Multicultural Affairs this April for our annual International Food & Music Festival! There will be food from all around the world, music performances by local bands as well as students, and cultural displays and activities! The International Spouses and Partners English Conversation Program was created to provide non-credit English instruction to the spouses and partners of Tulane international students, scholars, post-doctoral researchers, faculty and staff. The courses meet on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00 during the fall and spring semesters. The courses focus on improving students’ English speaking and conversation skills, vocabulary, and understanding of American culture. Click here for specific dates. The Global Observer

Contributors are free to submit their own pitches and ideas, but might start off by thinking about what tourism means in their experience, the impacts of tourism, or navigating the transition between tourist and resident while abroad. This two-day conference consists of scholars and activists working on issues related to racial reconciliation, transitional justice, historical memory, regimes of redress, and the rule of law. The conference will be both transnational and interdisciplinary in scope. Interdisciplinary synergies will be created through the inclusion of experts from regions that have experienced racial and ethnic oppression and are in the process of achieving (or have successfully achieved) reconciliation through the establishment of the rule of law, norms of redress, and cultures of remembrance. The conference will consist of four to six panels based on submitted proposals, as well as at least one keynote address and one plenary session composed by the organizers. Working under the direct supervision of an attorney, law students at TULAP’s Immigration Consultation program will provide bimonthly legal assistance sessions and provide a free initial consultation to individuals seeking immigration advice. Consultations are confidential as mandated by lawyers’ professional code. All Tulane staff, faculty and students seeking immigration advice are welcome to make an appointment with TULAP here. If you are in F, J, H or TN status, please note that the Office of International Students and Scholars is your primary point of contact for questions related to your current status. Project IX: Design To Combat Sexual Assault 
In this 9 week (1 credit) seminar, students will work on multi-disciplinary teams to research, design, and prototype real solutions to be implemented on campus to combat sexual assault. At the end of the semester, students will present solutions to the administration for funding and implementation in Fall 2018. We will meet weekly between February 19th and April 30th on Wednesdays from 6:30pm-8pm. In conjunction with the New Orleans Tricentennial celebration and the 32nd annual Tennessee Williams/ New Orleans Literary Festival, Le Petit Theatre presents New Orleans’ signature play. The story of Blanche DuBois and her collision with her sensuous and brutal brother-in-law, Stanley Kowalski, is as dynamic and searing today as it as when it premiered in 1947. Irish Channel Parade (1:30 PM): The Irish Channel St. Patrick's Day Club will hold its Annual Mass and Parade celebration at St. Mary's Assumption Church (corner of Constance and Josephine Streets) followed by the parade (corner of Felicity and Magazine) There is also an annual downtown St. Patrick's Day parade, which begins at 6:00 PM on the corner of Burgundy and Piety in the Bywater, proceeds roughly up Royal, across Esplanade to Decatur, up Canal to Bourbon. The parade makes several "pit stops" on its way to Bourbon St. A Goddessey 
LAVA presents A Goddessey, our feminist survival story that journeys through landscapes emotional and geologic carrying a transmuting traveler from a bleak and blurry patriarchal present into a rainbow colored feminist future with the help of ancestors geologic and otherwise. Tulane University's Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics is conducting a
research project on osteoporosis. If you are eligible to participate, you would receive at no cost a Bone Health Assessment, which includes a bone density test. Compensation for your time and travel is provided for the one-time, 2-hour visit. We will also validate your parking if needed. Shuttles & Transportation is Hiring!
