Election Q&A W/ Professor Brian Brox Thursday, November 17 from 5:30-7pm in LBC Qatar Room (Bldg#29) Professor Brian Brox of the Political Science Department will be hosting a Q&A Session about the 2016 election with a focus on the campaigns and what will happen now with the new government. The Stress of Uncertainty: Navigating the Care of Self and Others
The Division of Student Affairs understands that many students are experiencing feelings of apprehension and vulnerability across our diverse University community. We will offer students who are experiencing distress or heightened stress a workshop as an opportunity to discuss and learn to deal with difficult times in a productive way. This workshop, The Stress of Uncertainty: Navigating the Care of Self and Others, which is open to all students, will be held. The workshop will be led by Betty Brown, PhD. The last workshop of this fall will be “Gender + Sexuality”. DOWNTOWN HOURS + ITO + LUNCHES Location: Tidewater Building Room 2460, Time: Tuesdays, 1:00-4:00 pm Downtown hours are an opportunity for international students, scholars, and staff at Tulane's downtown campus to meet with an OISS advisor, ask questions, and request services. If you are a new int'l student at the downtown campus, you can also complete your required check-in process during these hours. Starting on September 20th WFMO’s international tax office is going to have a representative available every other Tuesday. This is a resource for international students and scholars to get assistance with U.S. taxes and get answers to tax-related questions. We will also have scheduled lunches at Tidewater Room 1210, from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. They will take place on October 25th and November 15th. This will be a time for students, faculty, and staff to relax and take a break from studying. HAPPENING IN NEW ORLEANSCelebration in the Oaks! The prestigious Gálvez Cup will also be awarded to an outstanding member of our community as part of the program, which also will include an exciting silent auction.
