Come and learn about finding an on-campus job, immigration regulations, internship opportunities both as a student and post-grad, and even how to apply for a social security card and other necessary documentation to start your employment successfully. The Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life is celebrating it's 10th birthday this year and we hope you will come join us for a day of celebration! From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes "Moana," a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli'i Cravalho) meets the mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she's always sought: her own identity.

Chinese Spring Festival
The Spring Festival is the Chinese New Year according to the traditional lunar calendar. 2017 is the year of the Rooster, the 10th zodiac sign in Chinese tradition. TCSSA will provide the guests with authentic Chinese food and awesome performances such as Shaolin Kungfu. The event is FREE and open to the public. Savannah Sage
Savannah Shange is an urban anthropologist who works at the intersections of race, place, sexuality, and the state. The racialized politics of belonging in the queer homeland of San Francisco reveal the possibilities and limits of social activism within the context of state-funded progressivism, and offer insights for applied anthropology in the context of the shifting landscape of US national politics. Active in civic and community affairs, Judge Gray is a member of numerous professional and civic organizations and has served on many boards and committees, many of which have as their mission improving the lives of children and families. Judge Gray has received national recognition for her work and is in great demand as a presenter and speaker on the local, state, and national levels. The Living Library
The Living Library or Human LibraryTM started in 2000 at the Roskilde Festival in Copenhagen, Denmark, and was organized by a youth organization called “Stop the Violence.” Their goal was to challenge stereotypes, encourage dialogue, and build positive relations among community members. Taking place on the Tulane Uptown Campus, individuals volunteer to be “books” and attendees become “readers” who check out a book, meaning they will sit with the volunteer to hear their story. Food and refreshments will be provided to volunteer books, and staff and event volunteers will be present to facilitate.
