The Thanksgiving Harvest Fest Was a Success!
The Thanksgiving Harvest Fest was a huge success last Tuesday! This has been a tradition for over 20 years here at Tulane and we're always grateful to see such a turnout. Come celebrate the end of the semester and - for spring study abroad students and fall exchange students - say goodbye to Tulane! End of Year Celebration!
The Office of International Students and Scholars would like to invite you to the 2017 End of Year Celebration! The event will feature awards, food and beverages, international dishes, and a gift exchange! Graduating students are especially encouraged to attend! Smart casual or traditional attire from your home country is strongly encouraged!

For their last market of the semester the Green Wave Community Market is partnering with Tulane's Office for Study Abroad to put on an International Holiday Market! They will have many of their usual market vendors, but will also be introducing some *new* internationally-focused vendors. Perfect for holiday gifts! There will also be free hot chocolate! 
HAPPENINGS AT TULANEAn Evening With Tim Wise
The Office of Multicultural Affairs invites you to spend an evening with Tim Wise, anti-racist activist, author, and educator. He will be discussing the racism and politics of Trumpism and how it is effecting the United States, as well as the rest of the world.

Is there such a thing as the PERFECT chocolate chip cookie? Google utilized its new Machine Learning algorithm to create the optimal recipe that we're sharing with you! Join Cookies and Code on Monday, December 4th at 7 PM in Greenbaum Demo Kitchen to relieve some pre-finals stress! More info here. 
Announcing Project IX: Tackling Sexual Violence on Campus
We are kicking off Project IX: a
student-centered design project to tackle sexual violence on campus. We had our first session, an open-call to students, on November 1st where we started to more deeply understand your needs, desires, fears, and frustrations. We began to envision what a campus free of sexual violence, harassment, and sexism could look like. 
Business & Sustainability Panel
Come listen to local business owners, consultants, and engineers speak about the intersectionality of business and sustainability. There will be also be a networking reception following the panel. Snow Day!
Do you miss the winter seasons? Have you never seen snow before? Celebrate the fall semester by playing in 20 tons of snow and enjoy great food and music! Presented by The School of Science and Engineering Council of Students and Student Affairs.

Lights By The Lake Holiday Bash
Check out the 5th annual Christmas boat parade, which will glide down the New Basin Canal into Lake Pontchartrain as guests enjoy the best viewing party on the lakefront. There will also be raffle prizes, music, the king of Christmas, pictures with Santa, food and drinks from local eateries, book readings, and much more! Beignet Fest!
Celebrate this deliciously iconic French treat by sampling every type of beignet – from sweet to savory and classic to innovative! The event is FREE but food and drink tickets can be purchased for $1 each. Proceeds go to the Tres Doux Foundation. 
NOLA Christmas Fest!
Come enjoy the indoor Christmas festival this holiday season! It offers ice skating, an ice slide, amusement rides, arts and crafts, a Kringle carousel, a climbing wall, games and more! Hours and admission vary. 
Vietnamese Farmers Market 
This decades-old Vietnamese market offers a multitude of fresh produce like daikon radishes, luffa squash, and Thai eggplant, herbs like lemongrass, basil, and turmeric, and locally-raised poultry! If you don't want to brave the early hours, most vendors are also part of a farmers collective that offers a CSA & delivery! More info here. Multilingual Tours of New Orleans

Center For Public Service Opportunities Conversations Across Differences: This workshop series is a cross-institutional collaboration between the University of New Orleans and Tulane University that seeks to increase students’ intercultural competencies and to develop positive relationships across difference and conflict to more effectively engage in civic engagement. MLK Day of Service Project Coordinators: We are currently recruiting Project Coordinators for the day of service responsible for leading small groups of volunteers at one of the planned community service sites. Tulane University's Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics is conducting a research project on osteoporosis. If you are eligible to participate, you would receive at no cost a Bone Health Assessment, which includes a bone density test. Compensation for your time and travel is provided for the one-time, 2-hour visit. We will also validate your parking if needed. 
Catholic Charities: Volunteering Opportunities with Refugee Service Catholic Charities with the Archdiocese of New Orleans is having volunteer opportunities in the following areas:
