#TulaneCommunityAtPlay Yoga Challenge from November 13 - 17th. If you love yoga and Tulane, then this challenge is for you. During this 5 day challenge, we invite you to partner up, or go solo, and show off your favorite yoga poses. We hope this challenge holds a space for you to get outside, connect with our community and incorporate joy into your day. All students, staff, and faculty are welcome!

Immigration Workshops
Please join us for an information session featuring an immigration attorney from Gasparian Immigration. Learn about immigration options after OPT and Academic Training, including the H-1B process and permanent residence as well as other visa options. English for Academic and Professional Purposes: Conversation Partner Program
This program pairs a native English-speaking student with an international student to work on their conversational English. This program will also help native English-speakers practice the native language of the international student. Through partnerships with Tulane International Society, we also hold events that allow you to meet and socialize with other participants. 
OISS EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIESOISS Spring Orientation Leaders International Student Orientation Leaders will assist the OISS staff with the Spring 2018 orientation for new international F-1 and J-1 students. Orientation leaders will work in a variety of capacities to ensure that students become familiar with Tulane and to facilitate their adjustment to the campus community. Association for Academic Programs in Latin America and the Caribbean (AAPLAC)
AAPLAC seeks proposals for its 29th Annual Conference in New Orleans (hosted by the Stone Center for Latin American Studies at Tulane University). Proposals should support the conference theme—Study Abroad: Meeting the Challenges of Cultural Engagement—and mission of the association. Come watch "Il gioiellino", also known as "The Jewel", a gripping corporate thriller by Andrea Molaioli. The film will be shown in Italian with English subtitles. Italian snacks will be served prior to the movie! More info here. 
Hurricane Irma Relief
Collection boxes are located at Weatherhead, Willow, Wall, Greenbaum, and Sharp dorms as well as outside of the LBC Barnes and Nobles, Reily Center, Center for Public Service and Newcomb College Institute (house on Freret). The Hurricane Irma Relief Supply Drive will also be tabling both on McAlister and within the LBC throughout the month of October. HAPPENING IN NEW ORLEANSTreme Creole Gumbo Festival
Hosted by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation , this event features New Orleans’ finest collections of jazz, R&B, brass jazz band, and more. Between sets, attendees can browse the Arts Market for some colorful, uniquely creative hand-made crafts. You can also continue the celebrations through the evening with the Brass Menagerie second line parade! 
New Orleans Book Festival
Jesmyn Ward (pictured), author of Sing, Unburied, Sing, is among writers reading or talking on panels at the New Orleans Book Festival. There also are many children's book authors, as well as historians, mystery writers and others. The festival includes kids' activities, food vendors, a performance by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra at 5:30 p.m. and fireworks at 7 p.m. 
Marche Creole Market
Check out this new exciting venture showcasing farm to table local produce, ethnographic and organics arts of New Orleans and its cultural heritage. Initiated by the Heritage Foundation for Arts and Cultural Sustainability. Multilingual Tours of New Orleans
