Join the Office of International Students & Scholars and Office of Multicultural Affairs this April for our annual International Food & Music Festival! There will be food from all around the world, music performances by local bands as well as students, and cultural displays and activities! Please join us for an information session featuring a representative from the law firm of Ware Immigration and Ms. Mathieu from the Office of the General Counsel at Tulane University. Session 1 (After H-1B): 3:00 - 4:00 PM Learn about immigration options after H-1B including permanent residence and other visa options. This session is geared toward academic immigration options post H-1B, but it will also include some discussion of other immigration options outside of the academic realm. Session 2 (After OPT): 4:00 - 5:00 PM Learn about immigration options after OPT or Academic Training, including the H-1B process, permanent residence, and other visa options. This session is designed for individuals currently on OPT or students who want to learn about what comes after OPT. Pizza & Prep: Be Smart with Your Money 
Join the OISS in this informative session about personal finance. Learn about creating budgets, strategizing your savings, building up a good credit score and keeping your information safe. International Spouses and Partners English Conversation Program 
The International Spouses and Partners English Conversation Program was created to provide non-credit English instruction to the spouses and partners of Tulane international students, scholars, post-doctoral researchers, faculty and staff. The courses meet on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00 during the fall and spring semesters. The courses focus on improving students’ English speaking and conversation skills, vocabulary, and understanding of American culture. Click here for specific dates. International/Undocumented Student Emergency fund 
The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS), together with the International Student Advisory Board (ISAB) and the Undocumented Student Support Committee (USSC), is proud to have launched the International/Undocumented Student Emergency Fund Campaign. The purpose of this campaign is to support students with severe financial hardships in order to ensure that they are able to remain at Tulane and graduate. The Office of Multicultural Affairs, Newcomb College Institute, and The Tulane University Law School, invites all students, staff, and faculty who identify as women of color to join us for an informal lunch and dialogue on being empowered. We will acknowledge some of the trailblazers on our campus, share stories of success, and provide an opportunity to network while building community. This luncheon will be a great opportunity for students who are interested in building meaningful relationships and hearing about the success of faculty and staff members who identify as women of color. TU Legal Assistance Program: Immigration 
Working under the direct supervision of an attorney, law students at TULAP’s Immigration Consultation program will provide bimonthly legal assistance sessions and provide a free initial consultation to individuals seeking immigration advice. Consultations are confidential as mandated by lawyers’ professional code. All Tulane staff, faculty and students seeking immigration advice are welcome to make an appointment with TULAP here. If you are in F, J, H or TN status, please note that the Office of International Students and Scholars is your primary point of contact for questions related to your current status. Project IX: Design To Combat Sexual Assault 
In this 9 week (1 credit) seminar, students will work on multi-disciplinary teams to research, design, and prototype real solutions to be implemented on campus to combat sexual assault. At the end of the semester, students will present solutions to the administration for funding and implementation in Fall 2018. We will meet weekly between February 19th and April 30th on Wednesdays from 6:30pm-8pm. HAPPENING IN NEW ORLEANSCarlos Rolón: Outside/In 
This exhibition features the work of Puerto Rican artist Carlos Rolón which explores the rich connections between New Orleans, Latin America and the Caribbean, from their shared tropical landscape to the intricate wrought iron fences that define the architecture of both places. A featured installation is Rolón's Nomadic Habitat (Hustleman), inspired, in part, by the prevalence of street vendors throughout New Orleans and the Caribbean. As part of the exhibition, NOMA is partnering with Embajada, a contemporary art organization located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to helpoffer direct assistance to local artists, cultural workers and their communities in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. Loyola's International Student Association and The Center for International Education invite you to an evening of international fun, highlighting Mexican cuisine in honor of our students from this region. There will be a popular silent auction showcasing handicrafts from all over the world. Students will perform live Latin Jazz music. Top finalists for the 2018 International Photo Contest will be in a photo exhibit. The winners will be announced during the Soiree as well as the recipient of the International Student Scholarship. Come see early New Orleans artifacts, maps and archaeological finds from worldwide institutions! Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival! 
Come try a myriad of strawberry delights, including chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry smoothies, strawberry daiquiris, strawberry cheesecakes, strawberries and cream, even strawberries deep-fried! All of it is sold by non-profit groups that use the funds to keep their work going forward. There will also be live music, fair rides, and the Strawberry Strut, an annual one mile fun run and 10k race! Tulane University's Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics is conducting a
research project on osteoporosis. If you are eligible to participate, you would receive at no cost a Bone Health Assessment, which includes a bone density test. Compensation for your time and travel is provided for the one-time, 2-hour visit. We will also validate your parking if needed. NCI Grants
