Know Your Rights Workshop
This workshop taking place next week will talk about relevant information pertaining to immigration raids, Executive Orders, DACA, and detention issues. There will be three experts, to discuss these topics, Sima Atri, Tulane Professor Laila Hlass, and Anne Recinos. Please join us for globally inspired event - Passport of Flavors! Tulane Dining Services is holding our annual Food Rave event to showcase our talented chefs and partners. This year we will feature flavors inspired from around the world. Grab a mocktail and let your taste buds say "bon voyage" as you make your way around the world! Dining Services: Simple Servings Simple Servings is a new resident dining option, providing safe and appetizing food choices for students with food allergens or gluten intolerance. The Simple Serving station will not offer foods containing the FDA most-common allergens of peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish,wheat, soy, milk products, and eggs. The program will be located at Bruff Commons running from Monday - Friday from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M., and Monday - Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tulane After Dark Presents: LaLa Land

Light snacks and refreshments are provided. ![]() Women to Women Mentoring: Apply to Receive a Mentor Apply by March 3rd This semester, women-identified and gender minority sophomores, juniors, and seniors can apply to be matched with an alumna mentor. $mart $tart participants learned how to compare skills and accomplishments to job requirements and how to target a realistic salary range; developed negotiation strategies; practiced negotiation using exercises based on real life New Orleans job descriptions; and constructed a “bare bones” budget to ensure their first salary would cover student loan repayments and other basic expenses. ![]() 100 Years since the February Revolution
In this public meeting, the IYSSE will examine the origins and significance of the February Revolution, the beginning of the Russian Revolution of 1917 which culminated in the October Revolution and the "Ten Days that Shook the World." Patricia Kissinger, BSN, MPH, PhD is a professor in the Department of Epidemiology at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She has worked both nationally and internationally for nearly three decades in the field of HIV, sexually transmitted diseases, and women’s reproductive health. Dr. Kissinger has focused on the dynamics of STI/HIV transmission, particularly among vulnerable populations, examining issues of HIV/STI partner notification, expedited partner treatment, sexual networks, substance abuse, pregnancy prevention and repeat infections. ![]() Free and Confidential HIV and STI testing. International Mom's Club Parenting Resource Meeting Sunday, March 19, 3:30- 5:30 pm, Greenbaum House, 1st Floor Lounge (Bldg. 71 Uptown Campus) Are you a parent looking for information about health insurance, immunizations, daycares, schools, parks, and recreation options for your child? Become an Explore Coordinator Applications due March 12 These pre-move in programs are designed to introduce students to each other, to Tulane, and to the broader New Orleans community to enhance their integration into university life. Our student staff assist the professional staff and lead team-building experiences. The Living Library or Human LibraryTM started in 2000 at the Roskilde Festival in Copenhagen, Denmark, and was organized by a youth organization called “Stop the Violence.” Their goal was to challenge stereotypes, encourage dialogue, and build positive relations among community members. Taking place on the Tulane Uptown Campus, individuals volunteer to be “books” and attendees become “readers” who check out a book, meaning they will sit with the volunteer to hear their story. Food and refreshments will be provided to volunteer books, and staff and event volunteers will be present to facilitate. Over 20,000 visitors converge upon the Zoo for one of New Orleans’ biggest celebrations of African American history. The two day family-oriented event features live musical performances by local Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, and Gospel artists at our Capital One Stage! Visitors can purchase authentic soul food prepared by local restaurants and caterers, and also enjoy the Zoo's collection of exotic animals! Festival goers have the chance to visit with local health, education and social service organizations and receive valuable wellness and lifestyle information. Soul Fest is always free with Zoo admission or Audubon membership. Wednesday at the Square ![]() Wednesdays, March 15 - May 17 Wednesday at the Square, sponsored by the Young Leadership Council of New Orleans, is a series of free outdoor concerts by well-known New Orleans and Louisiana artists that will liven up your spirits and maybe even get you into a dancing mood.
