OISS 2017 International Student Survey The 2017 International Student Survey is now live! Your feedback is vital in helping the OISS and Tulane improve. Please check your e-mail for the link that was sent on Monday, March 20th. We will be sending occasional reminders as well. Our main speaker, Kelvin Yu, will be performing/speaking on this day. The topic will revolve around Asian Americans in the entertainment industry. We will have an opener by an organization on Tulane's campus. Kelvin Yu is a Taiwanese-American actor and writer. He is best known as Brian Cheng from Aziz Ansari's Master of None and currently writes for Bob's Burgers. Coffee with a Cop
Students are invited to attend a casual meet-and-greet with the Tulane University Police Department (TUPD), in an effort to foster relationships between officers and students. $tart $mart Salary Negotiations Workshop
$mart $tart participants learned how to compare skills and accomplishments to job requirements and how to target a realistic salary range; developed negotiation strategies; practiced negotiation using exercises based on real life New Orleans job descriptions; and constructed a “bare bones” budget to ensure their first salary would cover student loan repayments and other basic expenses.

Tennessee Williams Literary Festival March 20-26 2017 The streetcar he made famous stopped running 69 years ago, but the festival named in his honor has been running continuously for over a quarter of a century. The annual Tennessee Williams Literary Festival is named after the world-famous playwright who made New Orleans his home during one of the most creative periods in his life. From March 22-March 26, 2017 the event will take place at venues across the city featuring some incredible speakers, contests and special celebratory events. You won’t want to miss this unique event!
